A classic, easy to make pasta with beef or plant based options and a lovely hit from Awesomesauce.
What you need:
50ml Bluey Zarzov’s Awesomesauce
300g dried spaghetti pasta
50g Celery
50g Carrot
50g Onion
400ml crushed tomato
200g of lean beef or V2 beef mince for a plant based option
Parmesan (optional)
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Step 1
Put a saucpan with salted water on high heat and when boiling, place in the pasta and reduce to a simmer. To make your Italian friends cry, snap the dried pasta in half so it fits in the pot. Watch them lose their minds.
Step 2
Finely chop the carrot, onion and celery and place into a non-stick frypan until the onion goes translucent.
Step 3
Add the mince and cook all the way through. Add the crushed tomato and Bluey Zarzov’s Awesomesauce.
Step 4
When the pasta is al-dente, place it in the pan, along with a little of the pasta water and stir it all together. Add the parmesan at this stage too if you want.
Step 5
Garnish with basil leaves and serve.
